Yesterday, Apple released iOS 10.3 to registered developers and although it doesn’t include many major changes compared to previous X.X releases, there will be a few changes coming to the App Store (some of which are already live if you’re running iOS 10.3 beta 1). In this post I’ll be talking about the changes and why the App Store will be an even better place to discover, review and download apps.
Okay okay, I agree, the title is misleading, I only wanted to keep it consistent with the others. In beta 7, there’s absolutely nothing the user can see that’s different from the previous beta. There was only a four day gap between beta 6 and beta 7, that’s very rare from Apple nowadays, I can’t recall when that last happened. I can only presume there was a critical bug in beta 6 that they wanted to patch as soon as they could.
Apple have well and truly broke the beta cycle. Normally, we’d see a new beta every two weeks and as we get closer to the final version, a new beta every three weeks. We’ve now seen two beta’s in less than 10 days. However, on my iPhone 6s the update only came in at 80MB so there’s no major changes here. In fact, to the naked eye, it’s identical.
Well, it’s only been eight days since the launch of beta 4 but Apple today have released the fifth beta of iOS 10. As we get ever closer, Apple are tweaking things here and there to make it ready for its release next month.
