On the 17th of July 2015, Jules Bianchi passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained at the Japanese Grand Prix last October. He was in a coma for nine months but couldn’t pull through. He sustained a diffuse axonal injury. Jules was a future Formula 1 World Champion, there’s no doubt about that. Ferrari confirmed that he was, inevitably, going to drive for them. It’s the first death in the sport since 1994 when two drivers, Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna both died at the San Marino Grand Prix. My thoughts are with his family and close friends at this difficult time. R.I.P Jules Bianchi.
